Waste not want not – freezing food in glass
With plenty of summer fruit and veg around now, this is a good time to save as much as possible of any fresh food you have spare now. And you can save it in spare glass jars
The British brewing scene has never been more exciting, with hundreds of brewers producing thousands of distinctive, full flavoured beers ranging from light golden ales and delicate lagers to dark, rich stouts. And everyone knows of course that glass makes the perfect drinking partner – ensuring you enjoy the taste of these great British beers and nothing else.
So there is no wonder, that there is now a dedicated week celebrating beer, cider, stout and ales (16th-22nd February). The London Beer Week has partnered with more than 100 of the city’s best and most celebrated bars and restaurants, where wristband wearers will be offered £3 speciality beers and £5 Woodford Reserve boilermakers (also known as a beer and a bourbon) all week long.
Located in The Newburgh Quarter just off Carnaby Street, the central London wristband collection hub will be the home of the festival, where you’ll be able to try brews, collect and buy wristbands and pick up the London Beer Week guide book with all the bars laid out onto handy maps.
