Make your BBQ a classy affair
Summer is here, so any excuse to be outside is a good one. Want to entertain your friends while enjoying the outdoors? Everyone loves a barbecue! Glass containers will keep your barbecue simple, chic and healthy for you and the environment.
Tip #1: Think chic
Set the mood with an easy (and green) decorating idea. Start by dusting off those old wine bottles and jars you’ve been meaning to recycle. And turn them into flower vases and candle holders. Remove the labels, add your favourite flowers or candles and you’re done!
Tip #2: Think outside the bottle
Be bold with flavour this summer. Sauces and salad dressings are a great way to add some zest to your favourite summer foods.
Fruit chutneys for instance are a wonderful complement to grilled meats. If you want to add a personal touch to your dish, experiment with soy sauce, mustard, wine, oil, vinegar, herbs and spices.

Tip #3: Go for trendy apples
Looking for an alternative to beer, and a cola is simply not enough? This summer, cider is the answer. Increasingly popular in Europe, this apple–based soft and sparkly option is the perfect match for your summer menu.
Tip #4: Make an original parting gift

Give your friends a souvenir of homemade barbecue or hot sauce in a sterilized glass jar or bottle. Personalize with your own label and include the recipe if you like.
Let’s talk about taste
There’s a reason wine, beer and food manufacturers package in glass. It’s the same reason 62% of European consumers prefer their food and drink from glass[1] – it’s all about taste. Glass keeps your colds cold longer and your fizz fizzing longer.[1]
